Lex Luca is a pioneering DJ and producer. Having spent seven years as a prolific radio producer based in London, UK, he’s currently DJing in Costa Rica and working on the next stage, producing music.
2012 has also seen Lex lay down a guest mix for house music legend Roger Sanchez’ Release Yourself Radio show and the multi award winning Selector radio invited Lex Luca to play an exclusive Afterdark mix [listen here].
Over the past few years, Lex Luca has DJ’ed in London, Ibiza, Berlin, Tokyo, Madrid, Switzerland, Costa Rica, France, Croatia to Malawi.
His musical interests are broad and Lex Luca has had a prolific radio experience at the highest level of specialist music radio, producing shows for the likes of Roger Sanchez, Judge Jules, Gilles Peterson, BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix, In New DJs We Trust, Mary Ann Hobbs & Eddie Halliwell.
He has interviewed a mass of A-list music stars including Armin van Buuren to Herbie Hancock, Skream to Eric Prydz, Deadmau5 to Fedde Le Grand and made documentaries for BBC Radio 1 about the music in Cuba & Japan.
Lex Luca’s successful blog [www.lexluca.com] is the currently source of new music, and he is a guest music blogger for L.A’s forward thinking radio station KCRW.
With a background playing musical instruments, Lex Luca began DJing aged 15. Lex Luca gained notoriety in London putting on seminal parties and DJing around town and at festivals in the UK and round the world. He has supported superstar DJs including the likes of Gilles Peterson, Laurent Garnier and Greg Wilson.
With an early diet of pirate radio and vinyl, Lex Luca hosts his monthly Dysfunktion radio show, currently syndicated in the UK, USA, Ibiza & Costa Rica. He has also guest presented radio shows for Big Chill Radio, Green Man Radio, NTS & London Fields Radio.
Lex Luca has remixed Prince & Jacques Renault to date, and is currently in a studio putting the final touches to his forthcoming debut EP.
